25 years after the original show captured the public's imagination, the US Sci Fi Channel is airing a completely 're-imagined', four-hour Battlestar Galactica mini-series. 

The setting is a galaxy ravaged by a war between humans and the Cylons (a race of robots). After 40 years of peace, a surprise Cylon attack decimates the 12 human colonies. The survivors must decide whether to stay and fight, or depart for an unknown future aboard the one remaining ship, the Galactica.
