SAN DIEGO COMIC CON EXLUSIVE:

MARVEL HEROCLIX:
DARK PHOENIX (#220)

WizKids follows up on the outstanding success of its 2004-exclusive Marvel HeroClix Galactus figure (still selling in the $200 range!) by introducing the Dark Phoenix, a large, fiery, powerful incarnation of X-Man member Jean Grey.

This oversized figure will tower over your average Heroclix figure, as it showcases the majestic might of the one and only Dark Phoenix!

Game Designer Note
Dark Phoenix is, um, powerful. She can be played at three different power levels: 600, 800, or 1000 points. She's playable at every level, and should prove to be an impressive opponent no matter which point value you face. She has some great combat values that make her a threat to everyone, plus her combination of powers give her some great options: Outwit to weaken key defenders, Running Shot to stay mobile while attacking, Psychic Blast to weaken even more defenders, Quake to threaten anyone that gets too close, Pulse Wave at the end of the dial to (hopefully) take out some opponents in a last ditch offensive, and enough defensive powers to really make her last a while. Near the end of the dial she has a couple clicks in which she "reverts" back to Jean Grey - this is when Wolverine is supposed to gut her. It's an important couple of clicks for opponents because it gives her a pretty major Achilles Heel; be careful of it if you're playing her and take advantage of it if you're playing against her.
